How do I type Portuguese accents?
Type the accent before the letter: a backtick (`) for an acute accent (`a gives á), two backticks for a grave accent (``a gives à), ^ for a circumflex (^e gives ê) and ~ for a tilde (~a gives ã). `c gives ç. Use a capital letter for capitals: `A gives Á. You can also click the letters on the on-screen keyboard.
