How do I use this Nepali keyboard?
Type Nepali words the way they sound, using Latin letters, and they are written in Devanagari as you type. For example namaste gives नमस्ते, nepaal gives नेपाल and dhanyabaad gives धन्यबाद. You can also click or tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard.
How do I type long vowels and special letters?
Double a vowel for its long form: aa → ा, ii → ी, uu → ू. Capitals give the retroflex letters: T → ट, D → ड, N → ण, Sh → ष. Use M for ं, ~ for ँ, x for क्ष and | for ।.
Why are some consonants joined together?
Consonants typed one after another are joined, as in namaste → नमस्ते. Where Nepali writes the letters separately, type the a between them: sahar gives सहर.
