How do I use this Marathi keyboard?
Type Marathi words the way they sound, using Latin letters, and they are written in Devanagari as you type. For example namaskaar gives नमस्कार, maraaThii gives मराठी and mahaaraaShTra gives महाराष्ट्र. You can also click or tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard.
How do I type long vowels and special letters?
Double a vowel for its long form: aa → ा, ii → ी, uu → ू. Capitals give the retroflex letters: T → ट, D → ड, N → ण, Sh → ष, and L gives ळ, as in phaLa → फळ. Use M for ं, x for क्ष and | for ।.
Why are some consonants joined together?
Consonants typed one after another are joined, as in mahaaraaShTra → महाराष्ट्र. Where Marathi writes the letters separately, type the a between them: kamaL gives कमळ.
