How do I use this Gujarati keyboard?
Type Gujarati words the way they sound, using Latin letters, and they are written in Gujarati script as you type. For example kem chho gives કેમ છો, namaste gives નમસ્તે and gujaraatii gives ગુજરાતી. You can also click or tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard.
How do I type long vowels and special letters?
Double a vowel for its long form: aa → ા, ii or ee → ી, uu or oo → ૂ. Capitals give T → ટ, D → ડ, N → ણ, Sh → ષ and L → ળ. Use M for ં (as in gaaMdhii → ગાંધી), ~ for ઁ, x for ક્ષ and GY for જ્ઞ.
Why are some consonants joined together?
Consonants typed one after another are joined, as in namaste → નમસ્તે. Where Gujarati writes the letters separately, type the a between them: kamal gives કમલ.
